Grace’s Grand & Dramatic Entrance

On April 24, 2008 I was only 34 weeks pregnant and because I have suffered from chronic back pain for the past 8 years when I woke up on with pain in my lower back I didn’t think much about it.  However, when it didn’t go away for 10 hours I called the doctor and they told me to go to the hospital “just to make sure” that I was not in labor.  Well little did I know that 6 hours later I would deliver Grace via c-section due to the fact that she was a breech baby. 

Grace weighed 6 lbs. 5 oz and is 18 inches long.  New Pap-Pap Dave Kebs said that if she would have been born on time she would have been the size of a fullback.  Unfortunately, because Grace was six weeks early she was quickly admitted to NICU due to her lungs not being fully developed. 

So after some intial tears after hearing that we would not be able to take her home when I went home and that she would not be able to be held for a few days Brad and I mustered our strength and have spent as much time as possible with Grace.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you so much for visiting our site. With some many friends and family members not able to see Grace on a regular basis Brad and I thought that one common place for people to come to see updates about our precious girl was a good idea.  So check back often as we’ll have news, stories, picures, and maybe even some video (if Laura can figure that out).
